U10/11s Mid-Glos League winners!

On a lovely summer’s day the BIC bandwagon took our U10/11 to Frampton-on-Severn for the Mid-Glos Champion League Finals Day.

With our U10 qualifying as league winner and our U11 as runners up it was a fitting finish to what had already been a very successful season.

U11 started first and won what turned out to be the semi-finals playing some outstanding football. Next up was Rockleaze who had already beaten BIC on two occasions throughout the season. This proved to be a tight affair, which was decided by a great BIC team goal. Well done boys great end to the season.

A big thank you goes to Andy & John for their hard work and endeavor this season and am sure our parents will echo this.

After winning the league by 2 points over our nearest rivals Shirehampton, it was fitting that we were drawn in the same group, also knowing that we had not be able to defeat Shire this season giving more meaning to the game with something to prove.

The game began with only Shirehampton direct style the only cause for concern, then before half time Sam Barney rounded of another good move to place the ball in the far corner of the net to win the game 1-0. Great start!

Second game came straight after and with the weather getting hotter, our passing game proved to be a good way off dealing with the increase heat. Again after a slow start we won this game 4-0 and progressed to the final.

The finals was a tight affair won by a single goal in the early stages! Well done to BIC U10 for doing the League and Champion League trophies Double. Great effort and to think at the start of the season we won the Concept 4 Football Cup beating Millwall in the final, again proving that we are moving in the right direction.

Well done again to Matt & John for their continuous hard work and effort to allow this all to happen.

BICADC are proud of the way all the boys played this weekend and conducted themselves as this proved to be another great day in our club’s earlier history!
