More Success for Bristol Inner City Players

Bristol Inner City Football Academy continues to be recognised for there player empowerment/development programme!

We are delighted to announce that 3 more players have been signed into Pro Academies this month.

Billy Phillips – Bristol City

Billy is a very talented player with a natural ability to go past players. Very passionate about the game, he showed a desire to play academy football for the club he support’s despite not being signed the first time around.

Billy was well sort-after but despite the initial set back he went away and played a big part in helping Bristol Inner City win the IBER CUP in Portugal, followed by showing the resilience to come back into a trial situation again and succeed.

“Coach Paul Hiron commented”

Billy is always willing to learn and work hard to develop his understanding of the game. He has the natural ability to go past players and this is reflected in is contribution from wide areas, scoring lots of goals. he has shown a high level of consistency in his performances over the last two season.

Billy has been a pleasure to coach since joining us and we look forward to seeing Billy develop at Bristol City.

Billy is a good example that if you work hard the opportunities will come along and I’m sure he has the right mindset to to fulfil his full potential.

Very proud of this young man and I personally would like to thank the parents for there support to not just for Billy but to our programme!

Archie Milne – Bristol City

A huge congratulations to a very popular and valuable member of the U14 squad.

Both player and parents personalities will be missed around BIC!

Archie applied for a trial & joined us after playing against us over a season ago.

“Coach Paul Hiron commented

From day 1, it was a pleasure coaching Archie who showed a fantastic competitive attitude and always trained like he played.

Archie grew in our environment over the course of the season and become a very popular member of the squad.

Archie’s efforts along with his team mates played a big part in us having success in competitions at home and abroad but most importantly driving standards to prepare them for when these opportunities  come along.

We would like to wish Archie all the best at Bristol city and look forward to seeing him develop over the next few years

“Ian & Tracy Milne commented”

The moment we joined BIC we could see what an excellent set up it was.
Archie flourished in the friendly environment with the team along with the expert coaching from Paul Hirons.
We will always be very grateful to you and BIC for helping Archie move to up to the next level.

Bobby Newman – Bristol Rovers

Bobby is one of many talented U11’s, who have decided to take the opportunity presented to him by Bristol Rovers Academy.

Bobby has spent 3 seasons at the Bristol Inner City Academy, and has proven what a great little player he is. With lots of star qualities he now leaves us to fulfil his long term objective/desirer of playing academy football.

“Coach Peter Randall commented”

Bobby is an intelligent & creative midfielder, who’s wiliness to get on the ball has always be evident for all to see. His desire and willingness to improve his game have been evident over the 3 years he been with us.

A intelligent & creative midfielder, who willingness to get on the ball has always be evident for all to see. On a personal note I do believe Bobby is a big loss to our academy and a huge gain for Bristol Rovers.

We wish Bobby & Family will for the future!
