More Success! 2 More Players Sign Academy Form’s & 3 Players Sign Pro Club Scholarship’s

Good morning to you all, sorry for the delay in my communication. I hope this news feature finds everyone safe & well!

Given the circumstance it is with great pleasure that I am able to bring you some positive news!

I am delighted and proud to announce that we have had five more players to report that have signed for pro clubs over the last couple of months.

Academy Signing’s

U10 Aaron Del RosarioBristol City FC

Aaron join the Academy as a 7 year old with the dream of wanting to play academy football.

Arron played most of his football an age group up, having learned and demonstrate an adaptable mindset to aid his learning in terms of what’s success for him outside of the bigger team picture.

Over the years Aaron’s ability was never in question and it was just a matter of time with the progress he was making before he was signed.

U14 Ollie Phillips Bristol Rovers FC

Ollie Joined the Academy two seasons ago and now follows a long list of goal keepers who have now progressed on to academy football.

Huge credit to Ollie who as worked so hard at his game and shown big improvements to make the next step in his pathway possible.

Likeable lad and will be hard to replace and his dad will be missed on tour!

Scholarship Signing’s

Andreas Smolka – Bristol Rovers FC

Andreas joined us over two season ago because he wanted to be exposed to academy fixtures at home and abroad to give himself every chance of progressing to being an Academy Scholar.

Great ability and technically excellent, he has now achieved his goal and from my viewing he as a good chance of going all the way.

Never easy because in the early days we asked him to show a desire to work at both ends of the pitch which we always thought would be a challenge. However over time the penny dropped and with a few eye catching appearances for the U15, noticeable in his display for the U16 v Australian School U17, this showed that he was heading in the right direction. With no previous academy experience we have another Bristol Inner City Academy player progressing at the age of 14+

Rohan Nelson – Bristol City FC

Another player who joined Bristol City Academy at the age off 14.

Signed as a striker and converted to a Centre Back, which make’s his achievement even more satisfying signing a scholarship after about a season and a half at his new position.

Rohan as been with Bristol Inner City from a young age and is another player that has been regularly exposed to playing up a year to aid his development to fulfil his potential.

Rohan was always a pleasure to coach and his attitude is an example to other players in our academy.

Blessed with lots of good attributes I look forward to seeing the next chapter in his footballing career.

Jamel  Salawu – Plymouth Argle FC

At U12 Jamel left Bristol Inner City to signed for Bristol City Academy, then left Bristol City at U15 and continue training with us whiles trialing at a number of pro clubs.

This season Plymouth offered Jamel an opportunity which seen him play for the U18 on a couple of occasions, where he more than held his own.

Plymouth have been so pleased with Jamel performances , that he has been offered a 2 year scholarship.

Really pleased for Jamel and his family who have committed to his journey which as had some up’s and down’s but has ended on a huge positive.

Another great lad and a player who I look forward to following his journey.

Thank You & Best Wishes!

Just as important, I would like to thank all of the coaches who have played a big part in the development of all players over the numerous seasons.
