Exciting development! Bristol Inner City ADC have been invited into the newest most exciting league in the region – The Junior Premier League South.
I am please to confirm that we will operate at U12 & 15 level this season, and will be looking to add the additional age groups next season.
The new league has been conceived by large clubs in the area interested in developing their players through better coaching and higher quality matches. The league is directly sanctioned by The FA and they have supported the league in their efforts to start this league to give the best players, not already in a professional club academy or centre of excellence, a chance to play and train at a higher level and so increase their chances of gaining exposure to the highest level of football possible.
JPL South matches are played to a high standard, both in terms of the quality of competition and in our full commitment to adhere to the FA’s RESPECT campaign.
The organisation of matches will follow the same set up that the professional academy leagues have with one club playing another across all age groups (3 home and 2 away) each weekend – this allows for easier transportation and more social interaction between the players and parents. Our matches are played on a Saturday and the facilities where our matches are played have to be excellent to allow the brand of football that we want to promote.
The new league will kick off on Saturday 3rd September (fixtures will appear in the fixtures section soon) with a full round of fixtures. There will also be a cup competition as last year with the finals being played at Edgar Street, home of Hereford United Football Club.
As a centre we will of course maintain our development mentality to ensure that all players learn from this unqiue experience.
