Bristol Inner City is delighted to announce that more BIC’s talent have been signed by local academy prior to the current lockdown.

George killick – Bristol City Football Academy U14

George left us after spend over 5 years with the club. Destined to play academy football, George is one of the clubs most technical gifted player. After the disappointment of previous trials George has matured on and off the pitch and improved the areas of his game which has aided his progression to the next level.

The club is delighted for George and really pleased that he is moving on as the timing is right for him. The club would like to thank the coaches who have supported George’s journey during his time with the BIC. Really exited to see how George’s journey progress’s as his dedication individual and collectively has always been evident.

Parent Reference

As a parent I have found Bristol Inner City Development Academy (BIC)  to be a brilliant football environment for young players.  George has been at BIC since he was 9yrs old and he feels that BIC has been a massive influence in his development. BIC has an holistic ethos and all the coaches George has worked with have taken a personal approach to George’s football development, supporting him on and off the pitch.  When a first trial didn’t work out, and a really bad broken arm  prevented him completing another,  BIC helped him develop his resilience to cope with setbacks, and  fostered his desire to continue his growth. The coaches create a welcoming  and nurturing intensity in the sessions facilitating  a strong bond in George’s team which he will miss.  And so will  I …   Thank you BIC .

Jake Goodfield  – Forest Green Rovers U13

Jake has been Mr reliable and deserves the opportunity to play academy football.

Everyone at BIC would like to congratulate Jake for earning a contract at FGR and wish him all the success in the future. Jake always gives his best and has great desire and willingness to learn.

His attitude was infectious and although one of the youngest players in the squad, we made him captain because he has great leadership qualities on/off the pitch that helped our environment grow within the group.

Jake attitude, ability and desire to learn and develop will be greatly missed good luck Jake.

Ephraim Osei Yeboah – Bristol City Football Academy U15

The Academy is delighted to confirm that Ephraim as signed for Bristol City Academy.

Ephraim has been with the club since 8 years old and is another player to demonstrate late developers still have opportunities at academy level.

Ephraim typifies what a BIC player is all about, he has a strong character, who possesses a great work ethic, determination & desire to succeed, which has been clear for everyone to see and mirror.

The saying goes “fortune favour the brave” despite previous trial disappointment and his ability never being in question, Ephraim has had to waited patiently for his opportunity to come again.

Ephraim now leave to join a team that have a growing number of ex- BIC players and will be working toward a scholarship opportunity over this & next season.

The club is delighted to see Ephraim progress to the next level as this season he has demonstrated the right attitude and improvement in his game to show that he ready.

The club is really pleased for all players and we look forward to supporting and seeing where they’re journey’s go in the future .

Hugo Snowden (17) – Perth Glory U20

Hugo joining our academy at U10’s on his arrived in the UK. Hugo then left BIC at the end of U16 and returned to Australia where he was signed by Perth Glory FC, one of the top professional clubs in Australia.

Despite Hugo not playing academy football in the UK, In his first season at U20 level, he’s become the leagues top goal scorer, which is a great achievement for a player only 17 years old. Well done Hugo fantastic effort!

Again this shows that if you want it enough, through hardwork and commitment, opportunity’s are still there for you. We will continue to follow Hugo’s journey with interest and look forward to further updates in the future.

Finally, everyone involved in BICFA, would like to thank all the players & their parents for their commitment and dedication to our programme over the years and we wish all players the best of luck for the future.
